North Esk Road, Brechin Road & Inner Relief Road Chain
North Esk Road and Brechin Road feature roundabouts that connect to the Inner Relief Road — a chain used on most routes heading north and west of the town. Inner Relief Road itself has two roundabouts in close succession — position in the correct lane before the first to carry through both.

Broomfield Road, Rosehill Road & Mount Road Residential
Broomfield Road, Rosehill Road, and Mount Road form a residential hill network used across several routes. Crossroads here are unsigned and roads can be narrow — reduce speed, check both ways carefully at every junction, and use correct give-way procedure even when traffic appears absent.
