The return leg is the most demanding — routes describe up to three or four consecutive roundabouts before the final right into the DTC. Know your exit at each one before test day, because this is where final-approach errors are most likely.

Bailey Drive / Grosvenor Road / Will Adams Way roundabout chain
The Bailey Drive, Grosvenor Road and Will Adams Way roundabouts form a recurring loop used on nine or more routes. Many routes hit this chain twice — once outbound and once inbound. You'll often see "roundabout left, roundabout right 3rd exit, roundabout left, roundabout ahead 2nd exit" in quick succession — count carefully and don't let the chain blur into one.

Hempstead Valley Drive / Hempstead Road multi-roundabout loop
Routes 1, 5 and 15 take you deep into the Hempstead Valley Drive and Hempstead Road roundabout network. Route 5 strings together four consecutive Hempstead Road roundabouts on the return.
