Just a few turns from the test centre, you’ll face several mini roundabouts near Town End and Westheath Avenue. Demonstrate proper clutch control, proper mirror checks, and proceed confidently through each one.

Residential Roads

Several routes weave through local residential areas like Midway Road, Trelawney Road, and Burden Close. You’ll be expected to perform frequent right and left turns - so stay calm, use your mirrors and indicators, and maintain your positioning.

A30 Dual Carriageway Section

Each route includes a short burst on the A30 via Helland slip road, where you’ll need to match the speed of faster traffic. This is a key point to check blind spots and mirrors before merging, and to maintain good lane discipline.

Returning via the Town Centre

You’ll often loop back into town through tighter areas like Mount Folly, Fore Street, and Lower Bore Street. Expect to navigate traffic lights, one-way systems, and tighter spaces with pedestrians around.
