Churchill Way and Park Street form a key town centre link used on the majority of routes. Multiple traffic light junctions appear in quick succession — approach each light at a controlled speed, check for cyclists in the bus lanes, and maintain clean lane discipline throughout.

Several routes head out along Silk Road and Hibel Road — the main arterial roads connecting the town centre to the northern suburbs.
