Pinfold Gate and Sparrow Hill form the test centre approach used on every route, with traffic lights at most junctions. You will navigate these roads at both ends of nearly every test — the one-way system and multiple traffic-light junctions require consistent lane discipline and early signalling.

Epinal Way Roundabout Chain
Epinal Way is Letchworth's main ring road featuring up to four consecutive roundabouts, used across the majority of routes. Required exits vary substantially — some routes take the first exit, others go ahead to the fourth. Position in the correct lane well before each approach.

A6 Quorn Bypass Roundabouts
The A6 Quorn Bypass is used on several routes heading south and features two roundabouts at slip road junctions. This faster dual carriageway section requires prompt merging and decisive exit selection — check mirrors early and signal clearly before leaving the bypass.

Forest Road, Park Road, and Beacon Road form a residential arc north of the town centre used on the majority of routes. Roundabouts at the Forest Road and Park Road junctions require different exits on different tests — study which exit applies to your route before the test.
