Castle Street / Gordon Street town centre junction
Castle Street and Gordon Street form the town centre loop used on all three routes. The DTC sits on Depot Road just off this loop, and returning via the Castle Street / Square / Gordon Street sequence is the final section of every test — make sure your observations are sharp right to the end.

Banff Road / Kinnoir rural section
Routes 2 and 3 take you out onto the Banff Road and down to Kinnoir. This is a rural B road with limited visibility at junctions — take your time emerging back onto the A96 and don't accept a marginal gap just because the road feels quiet.

East Park Street / Castle Park Road residential loop
East Park Street and Castle Park Road are used on two routes as a residential loop near the town centre. The end-of-road junctions here require good all-round observations — parked cars can restrict your view so edge forward slowly before pulling out.

George V Avenue / Steven Road / Depot Road DTC approach
George V Avenue and Steven Road lead directly back to Depot Road and the DTC on two routes. This is a quiet residential approach but the road narrows near the fire station — keep your speed low and your positioning correct for the final few hundred metres of the test.
