Desborough Avenue and Lancaster Road are used on every route and the roundabouts on both are navigated at the start and end of every test. On the return leg routes often describe "roundabouts ahead" on Desborough Avenue followed by a further roundabout — count carefully as these back-to-back junctions are the most common late-test fault location.

Marlow Hill triple roundabout sequence
Marlow Hill appears on 17 routes and has a notorious three-roundabout sequence. Route instructions describe it as "roundabout left at 1st, right at 2nd, left at 3rd" — three different exits in rapid succession. This is one of the trickiest sections on any High Wycombe test so practise it specifically before your test day.

Abbey Way double roundabout (A40 approach)
Abbey Way and its double roundabout come up on 12 routes. The instructions often describe "roundabout ahead at 1st, left at 2nd" or variations — two exits in quick succession at a busy junction near the A40. Get into the correct lane on the approach and commit to your exit decisively.

John Hall Way roundabout series (Cressex)
The John Hall Way roundabout series in the Cressex business park comes up on several routes. Instructions describe three or four consecutive roundabouts — "roundabout ahead, roundabout ahead, roundabout 2nd exit" — on a road where the junctions look very similar. Count them rather than relying on recognition.

A404 Marlow Bypass dual carriageway (route 18)
Route 18 takes you onto the A404 Marlow Bypass via a slip road before returning via the Little Marlow Road roundabout chain. This is the most demanding route — joining a bypass at speed requires confident merging, and the subsequent roundabout series on Wycombe Road / John Hall Way adds further complexity.
