The DTC sits at the top of Cecil Street and the junction at Granville Street is navigated under the most pressure — right at the beginning and at the very end. Make sure you know these turns cold before test day.

Avenue Road / High Street / Watergate traffic light corridor
Avenue Road, High Street and Watergate form a central traffic-light corridor used on nine or more routes. The instructions frequently note "T/L right, T/L ahead, T/L ahead" in sequence — count the lights carefully and get into the correct lane for each turn before you reach the junction.

A1 slip road junctions (north and south)
Routes 3, 4, 6, 7 and others use the A1 via slip roads — some northbound, some southbound. When joining the A1 you'll need to build speed on the slip road and merge confidently. When leaving, use the full length of the deceleration lane. The roundabouts immediately after the slip roads (Swingbridge Road, Gonerby Road) need early lane selection.
