Town Centre Roundabouts and Lights

You’ll navigate several traffic-light junctions and roundabouts early on, including the Elsom Way and John Adams Way areas. These can be busy, so position yourself correctly, and keep calm if the traffic builds.

Residential Maze

There's a tight residential loop via Linden Way, Allington Gardens, and Winston Gardens. These narrow streets are perfect for demonstrating good lane positioning, appropriate speed, and how to handle meeting other cars safely.

Rural and A-Road Sections

Stretches along faster roads like the A16 and Swineshead Road require confident acceleration, good judgement at the roundabouts, and safe distances from other vehicles.

Rejoining Urban Traffic

Returning to the test centre usually involves filtering back through both London Road and Spalding Road. Lanes merge and traffic flow is varied as you move from quieter roads back into town centre driving.
