16 routes with 439 steps, 359 turns, 151 roundabouts & 17 lights to practise!
Most routes take you onto roundabouts almost immediately, especially around Bridge Street, Waterloo Road, Renwick Road and Albion Way. They are perfect places to demonstrate strong observational skills and safe decision-making.
You’ll likely be guided onto the A192 and nearby slip roads, where speeds increase and traffic flows faster. You'll need to both join and leave confidently, so build up speed smoothly, check mirrors early, and keep a safe following distance.
Quieter areas like Cypress Gardens, Princess Louise Road and Jubilee Road, can be narrow and cars may be parked close to junctions. Keep your speed low, practise good clutch control, and be ready to give way at any time.
As you return through Percy Street, Union Street or Bridge Street, the roads become more built-up with traffic lights, busier junctions and pedestrian activity. Keep alert to changing priorities and continue to check your mirrors for a strong finish.
